Privacy notice
How we look after the information you share with us through this website.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
Who we are
HAMILTON'S TEA HOUSE LTD (trading as Hamilton's Tea House) is the data controller for personal information submitted through this website. If you have any questions about this notice, contact us at chat@hamiltons-teahouse.com or on 01252 941 241.
What we collect
When you use our contact form we collect your name, your email address, an optional phone number, and the content of your message. We do not ask for anything else through the form, and we do not collect special category data.
Why we collect it
We use your details only to read and respond to your enquiry. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions from people who get in touch, and taking steps at your request before any contract.
Where it goes
Form submissions are delivered to our enquiry email address at chat@hamiltons-teahouse.com. Our website is built and hosted by Underdown Labs Limited (trading as UF Labs), who act as a data processor on our behalf.
They use the following sub-processors to operate the site and contact form:
- Coolify (self-hosted application platform) for website hosting on infrastructure controlled by Underdown Labs.
- Supabase (database and API) to receive and queue contact form submissions securely.
- Brevo (transactional email) to deliver enquiry notifications to us.
- Google Analytics (optional, only if you accept analytics cookies) to understand how visitors use the site.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to respond to you and for reasonable business records, then we remove them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to how we use it. To make a request, email chat@hamiltons-teahouse.com. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar technologies needed to operate this website (for example security and load balancing through our host, and delivering contact form messages).
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site (for example which pages are viewed). Google may set cookies for this purpose. You can accept or reject analytics cookies when you first visit. You can change your mind anytime using Cookie preferences in the site footer. You can also use Google's opt-out tools or clear cookies in your browser. See Google's privacy policy for details. We do not use advertising cookies.
