The Tea List

Whole-leaf and flower teas from our partner, Tea from the Manor — only the top three of five quality grades, retaining the natural oils that give real richness of flavour.

Black Tea

English Breakfast (D) — A classic Ceylon & Assam blend, full-bodied with a coppery brightness.
Earl Grey (D) — Rich black leaves scented with a delicate citrus bergamot twist.
Darjeeling — The Champagne of teas, grown only in Darjeeling, West Bengal.
Lotus Rose — The finest black tea blended with delicate rose petals.
Lapsang Souchong — A large-leaf tea with a unique smoky, drawn-out flavour.
Turmeric Chai — Warming and spicy, blending turmeric with chai spice.

White Tea

Silver Needle — One of the rarest teas — top shoots picked only in spring sunshine.
White Downey — A rare delicacy of the tenderest white downy buds, minimally processed.
White Pai Mu Tan — From Fujian, much favoured for its gentle floral scent.

Green Tea

Chun Mee — Smooth with a subtle sweetness and a plum-like aftertaste.
Sencha — Steamed before drying for a naturally sweet flavour.
Dragon Well — Refreshing and delicate with a chestnut-like flavour.
Jasmine — Sweet green tea layered with jasmine blossoms.
Gunpowder — Tightly rolled leaves that unfurl when infused; slightly fruity.
Matcha — Shade-grown, finely ground and whisked; steeped in ritual.

Lemon & Ginger — Clears the sinuses — add honey if your throat is sore.
Honey — Ceylon tea blended with honey for a soothing, sweet flavour.
Bird of Paradise — Black tea with apple, papaya, marigold, cornflower and rose.
Oolong — The best balance of black richness and green tang.
Camomile (D) — Soothing aroma giving way to a sweet, juicy flavour.
Wild Cherry — High-grade Chinese black tea with tangy wild cherry.
Red Berry & Rose Petal — Hibiscus, rosehip, apple and orange with rose petals.
Peppermint Black — Quality black tea and refreshing peppermint in balance.
Moroccan Mint — Uplifting and soothing peppermint and black tea.

Surrey Hills Coffee

The medium-roasted Holmbury Hill espresso blend — full-bodied and sweet, with notes of milk chocolate and nuts. Add a shot of syrup to any coffee for 50p.

Hot Chocolate

Real chocolate pearls, shined for up to four hours, for the most indulgent, rich hot chocolate. £4.75 — add caramelised marshmallows +50p. Children's £2.75.

  • Elegant Ecuador Milk (39% cocoa) — Arriba Nacional beans, creamy caramel with subtle fruity hints.
  • Ravishing Rich Dark (57% cocoa) — West African beans with delicate vanilla and rich intensity.
  • Exquisite Ecuador Dark (70% cocoa) — Roasted cocoa with hints of fruit, rum, whisky and tobacco.
